RC-F Replacement Battery

Has anybody who has replaced the Battery in their RC-F or GS-F managed to obtain a Lexus Battery?

Mine has been on its way out for sometime so I ordered one from Lexus Parts Direct and a Toyota equivalent has turned up. I know that this is common practice by Lexus dealers but I was very much hoping to replace the original Lexus Battery with the same Lexus Battery.

I could be wrong here, but it was my understanding that because the F cars are/were produced in Japan and then shipped to Europe/etc they (or at least the ISFs) come with a Lexus branded Panasonic Battery which isn't sold in Europe.  Hence why Lexus dealers replace the batteries with Toyota branded Energizer ones.

The Battery you will have received will be of equal quality/power/etc, it's just it was sourced from a European supplier instead of a Japanese one and has a Toyota sticker slapped on it Instead of a Lexus sticker.

I know, no concerns about the rating or quality, it was just I was trying to keep originality.

yes - replaced mine on the GSF late last year.

Got it supplied and fitted by Lexus Newcastle - just over £100 all in.

Mine is exactly the same as the one they took out, but it works......

Surely you know that Lexus/Toyota don't manufacture batteries? All they do is to buy them in from someone who does and then slap their own labels on them.

Really?

And there was me thinking Lexus/Toyota made everything from the carpets to the screen wash and oil.
