Hi

When car reaches 50 - 60 steering wheel shakes badly, below this speed and above it no problems straight as a die, doesnt pull, tyre pressure's and tread fine,and tracking spot on? cant work out why

Any ideas pls,

i found this problem wid mine ,when i had my 17 inch alloys on,perfect,then i put the 18s on and the problem ocurrs,its a balancing problem i`m sure on mine cause i had them re balanced and was slightly better,there are a few ways of balancing the wheels,get them checked at a good garage.

mine is caused by buckled wheels.. same symptoms

my rear passenger has a small buckle in it,that could be the cause of mine then,ive got a new one coming anyway so i`ll soon find out :winky:

Wheel balancing tends to have it's greatest affect around 60 mph - might be worth getting yours checked

One thing with mine is that it does not feel speed dependent as I have done in excess of a ton and crusied along at 70/80 with no problems at all :blink:
