Hi,

When loading some luggage into the boot of my RX, the part below seemed to come loose from somewhere and came down on top of the luggage.

I can’t seem to find how to attach it. I have done the usual looking at the owners manual googling but cannot find any reference or even a picture of this part.

in nearly 6 years of ownership, I’ve never even noticed this part and I’ve begun to think I’m going crazy. Is it even part of the car🤣 ???

I have literally no technical expertise, and cannot seem to find where this attaches onto any help would be welcomed to put me straight on this !!685C8DCA-6D4E-4EC5-8078-4BB8FC8192DA.thumb.jpeg.be759d072fc4f932de4c4d4b461556bb.jpeg7D5B3137-4040-4400-BAAD-0F0AD637832B.thumb.jpeg.fbd64cbce276dfae5cbaffc1862f8399.jpeg

Thanks, Frank

It looks like an additional clip on addition to a luggage compartment cover which probably has a straight rear edge. The clip in section will fill in the gap where the tailgate curves outwards.

No doubt an RX owner will know better than a non owner.

As David said, it's part of the luggage compartment cover, here's one advertised on eBay (shows where it fits) [Link]

You need to sit in the boot, facing outwards, with your legs outside. Pull the tailgate down so that you can work on it comfortably and you'll see that this part clips onto the gate itself at the bottom of the window.

It's a bit fiddly but it clips in with the curved edge following the curve of the tailgate and the straight edge facing into the car, so that when the gate is down, this part covers the gap between the gate and the luggage cover.

Thanks to you all.
