Good afternoon everyone,

Since the end of last year I had to hand over the xc90 T8 to the wife and traded her Volvo v40 diesel for a nice toy for me. It has become a 2006 Lexus is250.
Mystic gold Metallic is the color and it had 180,000 (approximately) run when I bought it.
Maintenance was good so I took the km into the bargain.

Photos say enough.
Now I have the property of not keeping anything original, with the exception of the family car (the XC90 that the wife does not allow me to touch… haha)
I have to drive 160 km to work every day and wanted a good reliable and especially luxurious car, because I do make some hours on the road during the week.

After some searching, it has become the is250.
A lot has been changed in recent months to increase the performance and especially the reliability of the wonderfully running block. My goal was to give the Lexus that JDM look.

What has been done to it since it came into my possession:
-new spark plugs
-OIL catch can mod (to reduce carbon deposits)
-5w20 oil
-inlet and block cleaned with Toralin intake cleaner
throttle body cleaned
-K&N insert filter with f-sport mod
- home made cold air intake
-Crankcase breather filter
-35mm H&R springs all around
-20mm Spaces at the back
-Vland lamps (front and rear)
- wind deflectors
spoiler trunk lid
-Tesla Android screen with backup cam
-fog lamp foil (yellow)
-middle muffler removed and straight pipe
-Borla mufflers installed (nice dark roll)
bumper splitters all around
side skirt extensions
-windows blinded (evofilm)

To do:
wrap roof black
- color 18 inch rims
-Ever make a leather interior in it
- Eliminate small spots (paint damage) and polish again

Photos from purchase to how it is now.

Nicely looking car...

Just wanted to pick-up on 0W20... it is permitted for use with 4GR-FSE, however usually only in extreme cold climates. Netherlands isn't really that - Lexus usually uses it in North of Canada or North of Norway.

Now 0 part of it is great - that means you get better flow right from the start and it should minimise engine wear when engine is cold... but 20 part is not great... basically your oil would become too thin if you drive car for extended period (say on motorway) and these engines are known to burn some oil already (because of modern low friction rings), so having 0w20 is not ideal.

If you want direct upgrade from normal 5w30, then I suggest going to 0w40.
