I had to sign up just to thank you for your great post. Cheers Bob.

I am wading through both manuals to see what the car will offer more than my current Evoque, and am really quite pleased, except that I would have to kiss goodbye to Alexa!

I like what happens if you ignore a no entry sign, I would like to know if public chargers are shown on the navigation, and I am a bit confused as to how automatic the parking brake is.

I have a £500 deposit down, but I will not commit before a test drive.

Thanks once again.

You’re welcome. I found a Lexus Charging site and its map did show chargers from multiple providers. It’s using the Zap Map and I’m hoping the inbuilt Sat Nav has these. The map also shows the availability and recharge power for each site.

I have a Velar which I’ve had from new 2 years ago. Just too many niggles, particularly with the EV (it’s a P400e) to consider keeping it long term. Shame as it is a good car.

I have the Evoque P300e (also from new 2 years ago) and last winter, because of a part failure, had to choose between cabin heat or EV traction for four months!

Smashing interior though.

Do you think that the Lexus 360 camera will be as good as the JLR version?

I think the camera will be the same, if not better.

On the recently updated Velar the 360 camera is no longer available on anything other than the Autobiography which the P400e isn’t available. Against all market sentiment the Autobiography is only available in diesel !!

My dealer raised a query regards the lack of the 360 camera, even as an option on the HSE and was told it’s only available on top range models  the P400e HSE list is £ 76k so probably £80k after options

My main concern is after the ease of getting in and out of the Velar - Will the RZ be similar.

Incidentally, my dealer called me last week to say they have a date for the demo car - 1st April - I’m hoping it’s not an April Fool.

I’m still mulling over whether in 2 or 3 years time a car with a range of only 200ish miles will be a good sell residual value wise

I am lucky enough to have the JLR 360 camera and TFT digital dash. As a result Car wow and Motorway are quoting a selling price very similar to the price I paid in March 2021 (£4k discount). No depreciation in 2 years!

Thanks for the panoramic view monitor video. I have seen it before, which has created my anxiety about Lexus being as good as JLR in this regard. A recent software update means that I can now view any camera whilst moving. A bit dangerous but handy for watching the car behind on occasions.

I will contact the local Lexus dealer for an update, as April is just around the corner. Nice to see the RZ450E forum burst into life. 🙂

To equalize tire wear and help extend
tire life, Lexus recommends that you
rotate your tires approximately at the
following intervals:
Rotate the tires every 5000 km
(3000 miles

.....and then you have to register the position of the tyres! I think I would leave rotation and registration to the dealers at the service intervals.
