Shox

Hi,

I've got the opportunity to replace the 100,000 mile shock absorbers for an almost new set (1200 miles) from someone who put coilovers on his new IS200.

However, his IS200 is a SportCross. That may mean the back shocks are different. Just for comparison I've looked at the part numbers for sport shock absorbers on the Eibach website. Here part numbers are different for the SportCross back shocks, just like the front shocks for the IS300 are different. Probably due to the extra weight and load capacity, same thing with the springs.

So, in the best case I can fit them and they will be a bit harder than the IS200 sedan shocks, worst case they wont fit at all. Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Gerhard ...

I've got 2 spare sets of shox + springs from my IS200 SE saloon.

Set 1) Covered 10k miles on my car then replaced with set 2 below.

Just shox + springs. I used the topmounts, rubbers etc to assemble a TTE kit.

Set 2) From a 2002 UK 'sport' so slightly lower springs.

Complete assembled shock / sping units - the ones TTE took off my car.

Covered 25k miles in total. Replaced with TTE kit... as you know B)

The shocks on these 2 sets have the same respective part numbers.

Just the springs have different colour dots to tell them apart.

Let me know if they are any use to you.
