Full screen Apple Carplay?

Is anyone aware of plans to allow the 14” screen to display apple carplay in full screen?

The scale of the maps on the Lexus nav are great but the functionality of Google maps/Apple maps/Waze is far superior -but they only use 3/4 of the screen!

In my experience apple CarPlay always displays the map in full screen whereas Android Auto doesn’t. I have a Samsung work phone which I use for work related journeys and my personal phone is Iphone 13.

i can confirm that a recent update to Android auto now allows the map to be displayed in full screen.

It displays the whole width of the screen - which is nice but you still have the bottom section occupied by the climate settings - you can 'hide' these when using the lexus map but cannot when using carplay

I agree.

Would be nice to have this "hide" option extended to when apple CarPlay or Android Auto is active. I very rarely use these particular climate settings so for me it's wasted screen real estate most of the time.

Never gonna happen though 😔
