I took my LC500 in for its service yesterday (I can't believe I have had it for 5 years). All was well but I noticed that the wording on the service invoice regarding the rolling warranty had changed from a year ago.

In January 2022, the invoice referred to a "Lexus Relax Warranty". Yesterday's invoice says "Lexus Service Activated Warranty". Is this just a rebranding or is there some difference?

Basically Lexus have more than likely called it that so it reminds you that by servicing it with your dealer that you actually get the warranty. And by doing so activates it. Clever tactic so you don't skip.

They are calling it what it is now, the original terminology meant nothing to the uninitiated.

Even if one does skip a dealer service, it is reinstated the nest time one does get it done by a dealership (after any outstanding issues are resolved at the owner's expense)

It is now much clearer to all what a Relax Warranty was Malcolm.
