For 350h and 450h+ USB-a is responsible for communication. USB-c for charging only.

Well, that's stupid!
The USB-C should be both data and power, it is the standard USB now and have been for a while. USB-A will be phased out.

You may complain to Lexus 🙂 it is what it is.

Don't need to complain, my NX is a 2020, back when USB-A was standard and USB-C was still breaking through.
We are now 3 years on, and Lexus are behind the times again. It was the same with wireless ACP or AA.

Great cars though and I'm not changing mine until the wheels fall off. 😀

Thank you for the replies but does anyone have any guesses why the USB-a isn’t working. The aux and 12v work perfectly.

Which sockets specifically are you trying to use and how and for what are you trying to use them? Do you have the car in the Ready state, or in Accessory mode?

Hi it’s the double USB socket in the storage area in the centre console I was trying to charge my Iphone but couldn’t get power from either one. The car was running. Any ideas?

Check fuses? Try a different phone? Try a different cable?

On my RC of the same model year both sockets would transfer data and simultaneously charge my Pixel phone.

I ave this occur on the odd occasion and have found just unplugging/re-plugging in if oft sufficient to kick it into life - have also had some iffy cables over the years which seem to cause issues, it seems quite fickle in liking some cables and not others.
