Hey guys/gals.

Picked up a new 2023 es300h f sport.

I have one question about the generation display! Can it be changed it looks so bad imo to the older models.

My 23MY ES was supplied with an owners manual for a 22MY vehicle which was full of references of the trackpad which the later releases do not have. So essentially supplied with an incorrect owners manual.

I know how to use the system, it's the latest touch screen. I just think the actual energy monitor display of the car on screen looks so "cartoony".

Not very futuristic lol.

Excuse me jumping on here as a UX owner (but thinking i might go for the ES next time) but I think I have the same infotainment system as the ES has as I have the latest spec vehicle. Generally pleased with it as it is more up-to-date compared to that in the older UX. I was disappointed with the new set up in that I was unable to have a multi-display like I used to have on my previous 2020 UX. I liked seeing a small map, my radio station and the range left in the tank on one screen. The new "Lexus" multimedia display will only show one subject at a time. I did discover however using Android Auto instead I could at least split the screen to have a map together with my radio station details together. I am sure there are other combinations of two subjects. Just thought it might be of interest and apply to the ES.

Yeah it is an odd limitation but overall the infotainment is a step forward. As for the looks of it, apart from 'dark mode' there isn't much you can do about it apart from making using of the energy display in the drivers information display which is the same as it has been since forever...

What I would like them to do is stop the display from blinding me at night when I turn the car off and it momentarily goes from a dark display to a brilliant white display...

The infotainment is poor for a 23MY car, its not massively different to the one i had in my previous ES300h. I am still at a loss as to why Android auto is not wireless, and, as for the energy monitor display, it feels like its been lifted from a 2008 Toyota Avensis!!

The infotainment on Merc/Audi and BMW infinitely better.

I've always been happy with the GS4 infotainment which has often got criticism from reviewers that will only use it for a few hours so I'm sure I could get used to the ES when the time comes.

I have the mouse thing not the touch pad.
