WOW I can't remember fuel at that price. Well done Asda.

Crude oil as at ~$78/barrel... when crude was at similar price:

October 2021 - £1.36

September 2014 - £1.29

June 2010 - £1.17

September 2009 - £1.05

August 2007 - £0.94

Surely... the price of crude oil isn't everything, but fuel is commodity so should at least somewhat correlate! As such I reckon somebody is still making crazy profits from this!

Costco is always the cheapest it seems but can be a wait to fill up although trafford seemed ok.

Oldham is always a nightmare.

Costco the cheapest? But don't you have to be a member? Not everybody can join, I know my profession isn't included in who can join.

my local'ish Tesco E10 is at 138.9p plus points of course .  about 1p a ltr ?  Gillingham Kent

The other local Tesco's pricing is 148.9p to match the local cartel of BP and  Morrisons ....  crooks the lot of 'em eh !

It's the difference in price around the country that annoys me. Last week I was in Chester. and filled up at Morrisons - £1.399. Back to London, and the price at Tesco the next day was £1.499. That's around 55p per gallon difference!

Well if you're  going to revert back to gallons then it's an 11 shilling difference 🙂

I still do the conversion to gallons then work out the mpg!

Queues out onto the road at Costco Reading yesterday evening. Took about 15 minutes to get in, at £1.37 a litre for unleaded.

Off topic but worth a watch! 😆

Younger members should note that ‘Nationwide’ was a BBC light news programme, broadcast every evening…sort of a 1970s version of ‘The One Show’ albeit I’m sure it was prior to the evening news rather than after it. Could be wrong, my memory isn’t what it was in 1973…

I was at school at the time of the change over, and my Headmaster (who was a genial old chap, very old school) refused to teach the metric system. I can vividly remember him telling the school, after questions from parents, that “…this foreign nonsense will never catch on, and there is no need to teach it.”

Quite. Different times!

Been going there myself for petrol - I think they will need to re-think the entrance into the car park as the fuel station queue stops anyone else getting in who isn't getting fuel...
