Happened a few times now. An electronic humming noise (I have normal diff). Seems to come from the passenger side rear seat (underneath). It is a consistent volume no matter how fast I'm driving etc.

Any ideas please? I know if I book it in at Lexus it won't do it!

Fuel pump?

I asked this at Lexus before (I was trying to get the reflash as was told it can help with slow gear shifts 😄 when I first got the car) They said it was a US related issue only.

That would suggest that they are aware of an issue similar to yours, even if only seen in the US so far!

Given that your car would not know its own location, perhaps they could at least check the issue that has been identified, if only to rule it out.

As it was doing it and I was driving past my local Lexus I decided to swing in. But apparently the engineers were to busy to come out and have a listen. Very disappointed!

I think if memory serves me that @F.A. had something like this in his F and it was indeed the fuel pump, please correct me if wrong?

Yes you are right. It was the fuel pump. Replaced under warranty without any hassle by Bristol Lexus.

They have done this to me as well. "Unfortunately we don't have a tech available, it will need to be booked in." It always feels a bit like they are fobbing you off.

The service manager once apologised to me afterwards and said that should not have happened and they will always try to look at a car if the customer is present and has a problem. I don't know if all dealerships have the same policy, but I'd recommend pushing back a bit. In my experience it works.
