Spare wheel - fitting completed.

So this morning I went out to the garage to put my new Lexus umbrella and pen in the car, then ended up spending a couple of enjoyable hours completing the fitting of my spare wheel and associated bits of trim. 

• I bought the wheel off a local guy - it’s from an LS300 but is a compatible fit. 
• The boot carpet trim was bought off eBay and is specifically shaped for the SC430 without the spare cutout.  I easily cut this to shape once the wheel was fitted. Unfortunately it only comes in black. 
• I obtained a used rear carpet panel from a Lexus breaker on eBay. This was so I could safely store the original and cut out the necessary bits on the spare. 
• The parts obtained from Lexus were;

I decided to reverse the fitting of the rubber cushions by placing the larger (top) cushions at the bottom.  This allowed the wheel to sit more vertically up against the rear panel.   I had also purchased a piece of 1/4” hardwood to shape ad fit across the top of the toolkit.  However, the carpet trim I purchased is fairly sturdy and doesn’t sag, so I’ll see how it goes without any wood support beneath. Man, I ❤️ this car
