Hi everyone

i have purchased a new 12v Battery for my gs300h today

is there anything i need to do after fitting it,

the guy at toyota where i collected the Battery from mentioned

having to calibrate the car by leaving the car idling for 20 minutes

whilst in park ... is this correct or can i just swap it over.

thanks in advance for any advise

The process should be detailed in your handbook but generally it's resetting the one touch windows and sunroof. There may be other systems that need resetting but it will be in the handbook.

i'd taken a quick look in the handbook before i posted and i couldnt see anything about changing the Battery.

thanks peter

You could use a different 12V source and just connect it to the Battery leads before disconnecting them from the Battery posts. That way, you never drop the supply so no settings are lost.

just in case i needed a power boost to get the car started.

so nothing out of the normal regarding changing this Battery then.

thanks to everyone for their advice.

lexus parts direct (lexus swindon) want £252.45 + £6 postage (minus discount for the trade)

lexus rip off dealers want £252.45 + VAT so just under £303 from the rip off dealers.
