……….The only option to consider is now I have the templates it would be possible to have a specialist leather worker to make some bespoke bags. Not cheap I'm sure but they could look, feel and smell brilliant.

Great idea.  And you could choose the leather colour to match the boot velour, perhaps?

My SC has that very light grey boot upholstery, which is probably the worst colour there is!

Matching luggage would be impractical and would look scruffy in no time!

So black or brown would be better. There is a small leather goods shop Marsden (next village) which I have used, who are perfectionists and make their own goods. I might speak to them in the new year. I will give an update

The luggage is very lightweight and is made of a thin nylon type material. Dissapointingly the bags have no supporting framework and no extra pockets.

I tried the luggage this morning and it fits well with space all around to handle both bags being packed to busting.

On each side of the front bag in the space behind the rear light clusters has capacity to put extra bags probably 12" x 12" x 12".

I believe it is expensive for what they are but it is the only product on the market I am aware of and it will be interesting to see how it stands up to use!

Anthony I thought I was obsessed with my SC but you have trumped me. I will just have to get a Lexus logo tattoo to level up.

Hi Guys

I bought a small tool from Lidl last week to allow me to remove some screws in the home which had very  limited access. It did not fit and and I thought another fiver wasted!

But who would have thought that it is actually a Lexus SC430 special tool! It is ideal for the small screws that hold the trim and wheel arch liner to the front wing for access. No more wheel off or wheel turning one way and the other.

It is made by Parkside and packed in a small box, the quality is not Snap On but it works brilliantly.

Thanks for the heads up I’ve just picked up one myself as I probably need to take my bumpers off again.

Lidl and Aldi are so clever as you walk past things they catch your eye and even though you never thought about buying something your brain goes I need one of those and the trick is that it’s pretty cheap and you know if you don’t buy it now it won’t be there next time so you buy it to sit in a draw sometimes never to be used. Gets me every time.
