I see from PRT68’s post in the IS300h Forum that his RC is the object of the recall for the issue with the Fuel Tank Ventilation Tube.  There has so far been no such recall in Italy but this could be because last week was shortened by a national holiday.  I am not overly worried but must say that I occasionally and for no apparent reason get a slight whiff of petrol in the cabin of my 2019 RC300h.  Has anybody else had this issue and could it be connected to the recall in question?

I've just checked the DVLA site for mine(2020) and no recall for it.

I also tried the Lexus site, but,as usual,It couldn't find the page.

No evidence of petrol fumes.

Not had any smells but just did a check on the UK MOT site and it states as of yesterday my RC300h has a recall, nothing on the Lexus site though as for some reason it doesn't recognise my reg number.

I went through the same process when I discovered from the gov.uk site that there had been a recall issued on Dec 9.  When I contacted Lexus MK they confirmed the recall for the replacement of what was described to me as ‘the fuel tank breather tube’ - although other reports suggest it may be rather more than that.

Apparently I had not been contacted because the part was not yet available!

I too discovered that although signed up to My Lexus, the Lexus recall page did not recognise either my Reg or VIN.  Probably something they should look at!

Just had the annual Service & MOT of my IS250 carried out by the excellent Lexus MK .  It passed and this year it was supported by a video tour in order to remove any doubt!

At the same time, they dealt with the Safety Recall.  It seems that rather than wait for the replacement internal part to arrive from Japan, they simply fitted a new, upgraded tank!

Obviously this fuel vent potential failure only seems to apply to specific Lexus models, but I though it might be of interest to publish the Recall letter that I would have eventually received that details the problem.
