3 of 4 air struts where on their way out. So decided to get them converted to conventional springs. Got the parts from rockauto in the USA.

Rides well. Bit harsher and not as smooth as air.

Am happy with the result. Anyone thinking of doing the conversion go for it then you won't have the worry that one day you return to your car only to find its sitting on its backside.

Oh by the way if your thinking of replacing your struts for new ones Lexus will happily relieve your bank account of 5k for the parts!!

And on top of that the warranty is only for 1 year. Should they fail after that they won't do anything!

I did that job on mine. Converted it to coil springs and shock absorbers for just over £1000. I now have all new suspension which will probably last the life of the car. My insurers said that the market value of my car was £1100, so there was no way I was going to buy new Lexus air struts. Although the ride is not as good as air suspension it is still better than many cars. I am happy with the conversion.

Yeah it's lovely on air suspension but it makes sense to get brand new suspension set up on springs for peace of mind. If I ever win a load of money (lottery amount) I would get all new air set up though 😂
