I am going away over xmas for 6 weeks and will be leaving the car sat on the drive. In view of the cold weather forecast I am considering emptying the washer bottle.

I should hate for it to freeze and burst. Not concerned with engine cos it has antifreeze but am i being paranoid about washer bottle?

Just fill it in with a fluid that's okay to use in negative temperatures.. but yeah, you can empty it too. This is for up to -20ºC https://www.halfords.com/motoring/screenwash/halfords--20-ready-mixed-screenwash-5l---citrus-611784.html

Don't you use screen wash? Just increase the concentration to drop the freezing point. I use one bottle of Lexus wash concentrate per fill of the tank.
