Hello everyone,

I made the silly mistake of leaving an interior light on overnight in my 2013 CT200H. My car Battery is dead, would a jump start be fine or will I need to replace the Battery itself? I would appreciate any help anyone could give to me

I have jump started mine before....twice actually.

once from the Battery in the rear and once from the engine bay points. check your vehicle book

@mikedb thank you for the reassurance, if you don’t mind me asking, how long did you leave the light on if you remember? Because now I’m thinking I possibly left it on for more than a day

actually I'm going to shift the blame to my wife and daughter. its her car and my young daughter left the interior light on overnight.

@mikedb 😂 fair play, thank you for the reassurance anyway I really appreciate it! I’m gonna give it a jump start later on and hopefully everything’s fine and it doesn’t need a Battery replacement, I heard those things can get expensive.

Forhad.

If you haven't already spent all your pennies this last week, one of these is a proper life-saver if you ever need a jump start NOCO Boost

I always keep mine handy, and it's helped numerous folks out (including me!)

Very good advice!

Invest in a NOCO Boost - and if you can,  a CTEK trickle charger - and you should never be caught out.

But you ask about the Battery.  Is it the original?  If so, then it’s already done very well at nine years old.  You should think about replacing it, especially as winter’s coming and it’ll be under extra load.
