Help please with 12v aux battery...

I need it for my wife’s Caddy WAV. I am still thinking of buying a UX300e. I don’t drive sometimes for a couple of weeks. Will this noco GB20 Jumpstarter be ok to use, if the 12v aux Battery on the UX300e won’t put the UX into Ready mode…? Or will the 12v aux Battery need to be trickle charged…?

If the 12 v aux Battery goes flat then the GB20 will get you going again. However you don't want your aux Battery to go flat because each time it does it will slightly degrade the Battery. You are much better off trickle charging the Battery to keep it at 100% charge.

If it is left outside then a solar trickle charger will help, although you may not get enough sunlight during winter months.

Thanks for your post Colin. I will google solar trickle chargers...! I do live in sunny Cornwall. If I buy a UX300e. Should I include in the deal that a brand new good quality 12v Battery is fitted...Or fit one when I have bought one...? I should then be ok for a few months, or longer...?
