Has anyone purchased one of these from the link below?  If so, have you tried fitting it to the front of the SC430?  The reason I ask is that I gather some 17 inch after market hubs don’t quite clear the front brake components (guard?).

Also, I have emailed this seller to ask the size of the tyre. I understand the correct tyre should be 145x70 D 17, but sellers only seem to provide 125x70 on their space savers.
just wondering what size any of you are using?

Most space savers will not fit on the front. If you puncture on the front, replace with a rear, and put the saver on the rear. Not ideal, but it would get you moving temporarily.

That’s really useful information. I only have a foam puncture kit in mine at the moment but if I were to go touring round the UK or  abroad I would definitely look to obtain a spare tyre. Having said that I have done a few hundred thousand miles in 53 years of driving and I have only had one occasion where the tyre was so bad it couldn’t have been pumped up enough to get to a local garage and that was driving to Italy fortunately I did have a spare tyre. I guess I must have been lucky.
