Simple(?) question, how long does the Manufacturer Warranty last on your Lexus?

OK, slightly misleading thread as I know we all know it's 3yrs/100,000 miles from first registration. Seems Lexus are not included in this knowledgeable group.

Or is this just another example of the appalling proof reading of Lexus published documents?

After reading through the T&Cs surrounding the  Additional Warranty (Relax) provided after each annual dealership service I noticed this in the definitions section.

e) "Manufacturer Warranty" means the 3-year/60,000 mile (whichever comes first) warranty that
all new Lexus vehicles sold on or after 1 June 2021 receive as standard, or, 5-year/100,000 mile
(whichever comes first) warranty that all new Lexus vehicles sold before 1 June 2021 receive as
standard, commencing from the vehicle's first registration date. The length of your Manufacturer
Warranty, together with full terms and conditions, are detailed in your Owner's Manual;
f) "Owner's Manual" means the user manual provided to the customer that is specific to the model
and age of the purchased Lexus vehicle. To find the Owner's Manual for your vehicle, please use
the following link: https://www.Lexus.co.uk/customer/manuals;

Now reading this I thought, OK, so my RX actually has another 3yrs manufacturer warranty, being first sold before 1st June 2021

Following the link to the Owner's Manual gives the usual handbook we are all familiar with. Nothing in there about the warranty. No, that's detailed in the Service Book and in mine it clearly states 3yrs/100k miles.

So, two errors in the first 1/2 page of the T&Cs, doesn't engender confidence in the details contained within the following 7.5 pages...

The Toyota manufacturers warranty used to be 5 years / 100k miles but was reduced to 3 years / 60k miles when Relax came in so probably some sort of cut and paste to do with that...

Poor as the proofreading might be, I would think that English-language Lexus literature is, together with Japanese, the most reliable insofar as it is presumably in one of these languages that most of the texts originate before translation into others with a heightened risk of further errors being made and perpetuated.  This is a not uncommon problem in many multinational corporations that prefer to rely on single-source texts rather than let their subsidiaries or ad agencies write and adapt copy for local consumption, and it seems Lexus  is no exception.

I simply do not remember the Lexus Warranty being increased from 3 to 5 years.

I agree with what Phil has said above.

Exactly this, the Toyota version of the warranty seems very similar but still not an excuse for poor checking.

This is on top of major errors in brochures and specification literature. When I brought a number of errors in the 2019 RC brochure to the attention of Lexus UK they simply offered me free mats and boot liner!

I think though that the content of T&Cs should be triple checked, I'm sure their legal department would agree.

Almost certainly this is the reason. The Toyota warranty was always better than Lexus once they moved from 3 to 5 years - Lexus stayed at 3 years.

Lexus warranty for at least the last 10 years has been 3 years/60,000 miles (with no mileage limit in the first year) and 5 years/60,000 on the hybrid components.
