Hi everyone,

First off, thanks a lot for all the resources here. I've been lurking about for a while before making my purchase decision and there's an incredible amount of helpful content here.

Now to my concern:

I just recently picked up a used 2017 is300h in f sport guise and noticed that after each press of the brake pedal, I'll get a vibration through it accompanied with a low pitched hum.

After reading around I gathered it might be the brake actuator and was wondering if anyone can chime in as to whether or not this is normal.

I've attached a video with the car in park which captures the noise (though it's quite faint in comparison to the ambient traffic).

Thanks a lot in advance 🙂

If anyone else stumbles across this, I found this clip explaining the system in more detail.

Bottom line, normal for the system to start rebuilding the pressure that was used with each application of the brakes.

if it occurs multiple times without applying the brakes (say car is in park and you hear the buzzing once every couple of seconds) there might be a leak.

service rep said something along the same lines.

As others have said before there is no solution as this is not a problem. It's normal. Thats how brakes on all toyota hybrids work. If it bothers you one solution could be to increase the volume on the radio.
