Aerial maintenance? Gs300 99'

Hi all

Just thinking how should I maintenance my electric aerial? Should I just clean it and use silicone grease on outer surface or anything else?

Just a bit of light oil on a rag and wipe up from the bottom to the top a few times. If you wipe from top to bottom you will push dirt into the section below which will end up causing wear.

 

Worth changing to a station with a low frequency before cleaning as the aerial will be highest (it varies in length across the FM range to get the best reception).
