Open tailgate with foot movement.

Has anyone found the best way to open the tailgate on the RX using your foot under the bumper?

I have tried it and despite my foot/leg going in, out and around like doing the Hokey Cokey only managed to get it to open once out of 6 attempts 😄

Not sure when or if I would need to do this as prefer using the fob anyway but just want to perfect it so can get to to work if needed without looking like I am having a spasm. 🙄

I think if I had that facility, I'd either fall-over or have someone calling an ambulance in all the confusion!

100% success with the step back technique,which basically means you kick and then take one step back.

I find that a "kick" to the right of the middle of the boot works best (probably around 20cm from the centre). It is however definitely a bit hit or miss but I'd say it works first time around 80% of the time.

Works every time for me too.  Standing too close to the boot will prevent it from opening.

On my NX, I find an In/out kick works better than a sideways kick. And, yes, do step straight back for it to work (not to one side or it thinks there is an obstacle it might hit and won't open).

Thanks ... just tried this kick then step away twice with 100% success.
