2007 IS220D Hand Brake Shoes

Wow, didn't think that I would be back in the 220d forum again but here I am.

 

Guys or Girls I need some information regarding the handbrake on the is220D

My wifes car failed the MOT on the handbrake and I need to fit new discs, pads and shoes.

What I want to know is:

Is there a fitting kit available for the 220D shoes because I don't want to strip this lot off, only to find I break a spring or pin and can't refit it again??!!??

 

I can't find one anywhere but I can select single parts, of which I don't even know the sizes of, so I can't buy them as they may be wrong.

 

So lets broaden this a little.

If there is no specific rear shoe fitting kit, what parts are required and of what quantity and sizes to get the whole lots (Just in case) for both sides?

You're in luck. I had to replace a few bits of the parking brake assembly a couple of years ago, so I have all the required part numbers to hand. 🙂

Shoe - 46540-30021 (x4)

Pin - 47447-10020 (x4)

Spring - 90501-16118 (x4)

Spring cap - 47449-30030 (x4)

Spring, Tension - 90506-23052 (x2)

Spring, Tension - 90506-14080 (x2)

Quantities are assuming replacing everything on both sides. All parts are universal (left or right) apart from the tension springs.

I ordered all of the above, assuming the worst, but ended up only needing a couple of the pins, springs, and spring caps for one side.

I still have everything else BNIB, so I could hook you up with anything you need for cheap.
