Thanks. I could go all out and get all the F-Sport accessories but would probably cost me as much as the car so not economically viable.

list of all accessories here - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/315599-lexus-announces-f-sport-line-of-accessories-for-2is.html

Very true! Never knew there were that many F-sport extras!

Looks great @MattDH.

What's the situation with getting it serviced? Anything to be aware of as it's a JDM model, or do you just take it to a regular garage?

Easy to get it serviced. Similar to the IS250 other than a few bits which are different like the brakes.

I've purchased lots of stuff to get done at my local XE specialist down the road from me

Will be getting done the following

- Brake fluid

- transmission drain and fill

- spark plugs

- pcv valve

- diff fluid change

- engine oil change

- caliper slide pins cleaned and regreased

- coolant change

Pretty much the whole shebang 😁

Ah good stuff, thanks for the info. I've been eyeing one up, but I'm lacking mechanical knowledge. Just trying to get a feel of what it would be like to run as a pedestrian. Lexus/Toyota is obviously great for reliability, but then again the 2is models on the market are only getting older.

Hi Tom and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is.

You're dead right. The 2is is getting older but so are you and we all. The 2is however is undoubtedly one of the greatest cars ever built. If you're prepared to look after one then it'll out live you. It's that simple.

By look after it I mean treat it as  you'd treat your child, for instance.

Yes you could spend a few hundred quid a year on one But just think. How much to buy a much newer car? About a couple decades ownership of a 2is worth that's how much.

Thanks @Mr Vlad. Yeah it's the same conclusion I'm coming to in regard to the money. I've been utterly disappointed and astounded by the low quality and high cost of most modern cars. Hence looking down the JDM route.

So what happened to not getting all the f sport kit? 😂😂

Those intakes do sound good! Your 350 should be even more brilliant by the time you’ve finished your mods!

That intake looks familiar 🙂

Just noticed in one of your earlier pics that there's no headlamp washers on a JDM one.

Courtesy of yourself 😉

Yeah I was surprised to not see them either. I guess that's one less thing to worry about

Happened to get a bonus at work so going on a bit of a splurge lol.

It really does sound great. Pairs nicely with the HKS exhaust.

More mods to come hopefully this year. Front & Rear anti roll bars (F-Sport or Cusco). I've heard that the rear F-Sport sway bar might not fit UKDM/JDM models because our spare wheel well is deeper than USDM. Doing some more due diligence before pulling the trigger.

Also want to do Front & Rear strut braces, underside chassis braces, uprated discs and brake pads

Don’t blame you! Yes they really do. Had the same intake/exhaust on my old 250, and it sounded great.

oh I’d never heard that, I thought they were all the same underneath.

Don’t you already have bigger brakes on the 350, same as the GS450h setup?

There are some slight differences.

But from what I've been told the Cusco or F-Sport anti roll bars will make a big difference in handling.

Yes the front brakes are the same on the GS450h. I have plans to track the car now and then so just getting it ready for it. Saw an IS250 on the track at Silverstone during Japfest so it got me thinking to do the same.

So I believe. I was going to get them when I had my 250. Still considering them for my 450h actually.

So what would a brake improvement involve on yours? Going to ISF brakes?
