Leather code colour

Hi All,

 

Sorry for the silly "NEWBIE" question, but I am struggling to get a definitive colour code for my Leather interior (Seats). My ID plate image is attached for ease. I am sure you seasoned Lexus owners will come up quickly with an sensible answer to help.

I have done endless internet searching with no conclusive results that I am happy with.

I wish to get an accurate colour dye to treat the leather as drivers seat is showing through a black colour (creases) and wish to treat it to make good again.

Hi Peter. LA11 is the trim code. Look at the vertical part where it says TR.

Have you not tried a leather cleaner? Try a soft soap in warm water and a soft scourer and gently rub the affected areas. Then after drying thoroughly use a good quality leather conditioner.

Hi Vladimir,  I have tried this already, but thank you for checking.

I will sadly need to use a dye or all in one product to get the colour back on the seat but I can't find a product that states the LA11 code or the actual colour that this is known as.

You may well struggle to get a match based on the dye colour code, as I couldn't for my pale grey seats.

However, Furniture Clinic do a leather colourant/dye that has worked great for me, which they can match from a leather sample. If I remember rightly they need a piece about the size of a postage stamp. I was able to find some excess I could cut off from the bottom of the front headrest. Other places to try are underneath seats.

You're welcome. Their stuff is easy to use, just wipe on with a sponge and it dries pretty quickly.

As an aside to this our leather sofa shows signs of wear. What product would folk recommend? The sofa is only three years old. The leather seats in my GS are eight years old and show no signs of wear!

I'd get back to the manufacturer and state a claim against their poor quality.

I bought the car second hand and bought car in the condition it was in, which to be fair was exceptional as had only done 41000 from new. Might just pursue the furniture clinic as they seem to know their stuff when it comes to treating leather.

Alan, you should pursue the Retailer which sold you the item,not the Manufacturer.

I think he was referring to the sofa manufacturer/
