2018 RCF Particulate Filter

Trying to decide if I should get a post or prior 2018 RCF. My big question right now is how much difference/worse does the new particulate filter make to the exhaust sound of 2018 and above models? Also, I noticed as well because of the filter, 2018+ models are slightly down on power and torque on UK models, is it noticeable though?

Sounds - bit worse

Power - down but doubt you'd really know much difference day to day

Torque - down but again, are you really gonna notice day to day

I would defo go for pre 2018. No offence, but past 2018 version is like a man with one ball to me. Additionally I would not even consider any car past Covid (2020>) and will stick to my old ones as long as possible.

Also be aware that if you don't get a 2018 model with the Plus Pack option you will have less kit compared to an older one as Lexus lowered the spec  of the base RC F.

Yes it's very frustrating, there's a lot to desire in the post 2018 models in terms of exterior/interior/tech, but such a shame they have hobbled it slightly with that particulate filter. Damn regulations!

Does anyone know if the "Revised Active Sound System" listed there attempt to compensate for the slightly muffled exhaust in the 2018 models?

No, the main difference is it simulates/enhances the intake sounds as well as the exhaust.
