I have just purchased a set of premium (yeah right?!?!) Genuine Lexus car mats for the UX from eBay at £69.99 and i have to say that the quality is crap!

I have come out of a Jag E-Pace where i was really impressed with their carpet mats. The Lexus version does not compare in any shape or form.

Can i just check if anyone has maybe purchased some aftermarkets sets that they would recommend?

You can get different grade mats from carmats4u

If you want thick ones they'll be £100+

The UX ones you bought won't be any different to the ones that come with the car. There's no upgrade unless you get rubber

I have used CarMats4U frequently over the last few years for aftermarket mats with no complaints.  They have been good value.  My approach has been to 'Use, Abuse, Replace' every few years with out breaking the bank so I kept my budget limited to the mid range options.  I did also get a set of rubber mats for really messy snow days (nearly non existent in the south), and although a little thin they did the job when needed.   The old mats get re-used as kneeling mats when cleaning the car etc for another season or two before disposal.

As @rayaans states,  expect to pay more for the thicker higher quality mats.

The CarMats4U Platinum range are advertised as having a lifetime guarantee.

I have a set for my RX and they are nice quality, thick and heavy duty.

I agree the mats that come with the car are not brilliant. I have rubber ones as well and they are top quality. To be honest I have the rubber ones in all the time. Often wondered maybe I should put them in just for autumn winter etc. The rubber ones are quite heavy.

I do like the idea of rubber mats for the autumn & winter months, but i tend to stick with two sets of decent quality carpet mats that i clean and swap around.

Has anyone bought a one piece mat for their rear, passenger mats - that 'goes' right across with no break in the middle.

I've had a search but not much success, unless I buy fronts too.

You probably won’t save much.  Just buy the ones you want Piers.

Reached 10000 miles yesterday.!

I drive swiftly &, since the day I got the LBX, it has averaged 60 mpg independent of journey distance. Interestingly, the Dealers E10 Petrol & my subsequent E5 fuel have shown no change in mpg but the engine is butter smooth.

The ride is Firm on my Yokohamas & the Suede seats are ultra grippy yet

really comfortable.

The Dynamic Cruise Control is amazing & the Boot's depth was a surprise to me.

Iphone Connectivity is instant & I change DAB Stations via Hey Lexus or Siri.

My Red/Black. combo is great & the Costly Dealer applied Ceramic Coating seems to work so far although ,like you, I keep my car clean.

Seems very modern & believe there is no-one who has fitted your lovely tyres to improve ride comfort.(yet)

Love it.

Sounds like a success story Tel.  My mate has settled into his Takumi after what I would say was an apprehensive start.  I’ve ridden in several and for those that say it’s a Yaris Cross with Lexus badges, they’ve got no idea.  I must say I’m more than pleased with my UX300h.

I thought you’d done well!!!  No, he’s on the standard tyres but he’s got a hearing aid and might not benefit from quieter tyres.

You might think me mad, but...

I made some sheepskin over-rugs for the back of my UX.

Purchased, they seem to run into £000's.

So, I bought a black sheepskin rug on eBay for £40, and used my current rear UX car mats as a template.

Have to say, they look quite good but still subtle.
