spare wheel/toolkit

Hi all,

I, expect, like many others, have a tyre inflator kit, instead of an actual spare wheel.

I was thinking about getting a spare wheel and replacing the tyre foam thing, the wheels are available second hand, since I have the jack/brace, do you knowledgeable people know of anywhere to get the plastic spare wheel insert that carries the tools?

- are there specialist breakers for Lexus?

You've been lucky being able to source one, they were like hen's teeth when I was looking!

I wrap my tools in an old towel, but would be interested to see if anyone knows where to get the insert.

I've had a spare wheel for 6 years i keep my tools in bubble wrap.

I find there is more space to use as you can fill the wheel well and stash smaller items around it.

I find the multi compartment tray, over my spare wheel as useful bit of kit for whatever you want to store in the rear

Ian/T do you have/need the big plastic headed bolt that secures the spare wheel to the well, or does the wheel just sit in there?

I found a wheel securing bolt in a scrapyard from a Toyota Celica i think the same thread is used in all Toyota products,the bolt cost me 50p.
