Carista V Techstream

Question about Carista as no matter what I do I cannot get Techstream to work at all so I am considering the Carista app and would benefit from the lexus wners experience .

On the Carista website they only list IS250 3rd gen as compatible , Has anyone used it on a 2nd gen XE20 Model succesfully ?

I would like to read autobox,ABS,Airbag etc including activating items.

The problem is usually drivers for the adapter. What OS are you running?

Carista will do only generic OBD2 on mk2, basically same as any £3 OBD reader.

As above - do let us know where you got stuck. I spent good 8 hours figuring it out, but I have it running on W10.

for our cars Carista is only good to read faults - as Linas said. 

there was an aussie guy on youtube showing how to run a virtual machine on your computer that was loaded with techstream - I'll have a look to see if I find the link

I am running it on an old Vista machine Sony Vaio as i thought it would present less problems

Vista was never the best windows to use and now being obsolete it makes it difficult to get the drivers for it. W7 probably would be easiest nowadays.
