My trusty (12v) Battery seems to have all but failed and never having replaced a Battery on the GS before, rather than assume "it's just a Battery replacement" always worth asking before diving in.

In light of that, any issues or things to look out for when replacing the Battery and is jump starting ok?

Lastly, any recommendations on a top notch replacement?

Yes, jump starting is OK, as long as you're not using a hybrid vehicle as the source because you should never use a hybrid to give a jump start.

If you don't want to lose settings such as seat memory, radio presets, clock and so on, connect a 12V source to the Battery cables immediately before slackening off the clamps and removing them from the Battery.

Which type of Battery? No idea, but Yuasa are a well respected brand.

Many thanks Herbie, much appreciated.

Will be just a standard non-hybrid car if a jump start is required but learnt something new there regarding not using a hybrid for a jump starting.......every day is a school day🙂.

Will research Yuasa batteries:thumbsup:
