Hi

Just seen the the first ES 300H other than mine or on a forecourt in 14 months of ownership. Now worried; are they getting common?

PS It looked superb- sort of darkish grey metallic with chrome grill, cream leather seats. Really classy. May have been a Takumi.

I have seen three since I got mine at Xmas.

one other in MK, although may have been a demo and then twice around Aylesbury, all have been F sport one red like mine, one blue and one graphite

one every other month is ok for me on exclusivity

There are two others which I know of around Peterborough. One red, one black. I don't think either are used as premium taxis or for airport transfers.

I've seen 3 in total up here in Lancashire since June last year. Sunlit green, silver and grey ones. I see a lot more UX, RX and NXs in comparison. SUVs are the current choice du jour. None of them were taxis as far as I could see either 😛

Last week I did around a 400 mile round trip from Berkshire to Plymouth - not one other ES300h seen in the 4 days out and about. Went out today and 3 of us in a row which is a first since having an ES since 2019. Still enjoying the exclusivity and the car still gets a lot of looks.

Doubt I have seen 6/7 since 2019. I did have an embarrassing situation though in our local Sutton Morrison’s car park.   I was admiring a white F sport.  The owner went to his car.  I said “ How are you getting on with it mate” Then a double look,  he was the senior salesman at my local dealership.  Yes I did feel like a bit of a d..k

Funny is that whenever getting a new car, you suddenly see several.

May have been like that before, but without noticing it.

Could be worse - count how many Teslas you see on the next trip out - usually I lose interest when you reach double digits before hitting the local motorway. I prefer the exclusivity.

Surprised yesterday to see a second in 10 days at Snowshill in Worcestershire. This is a National Property and highly recommended for a visit if you happen to be nearby.

Betsy and I have been on a few adventures recently, so it was time to visit the local petrol station for a tankful of E10 last night.

I had just engaged the filler nozzle with Betsy's opening when I heard a voice next to me. "Nice car mate!". I looked around to see a young Asian taxi driver at the pump next to me. I nodded and said "Cheers". They like their cars do young Asian lads.

I must admit, and don't let Betsy hear this, but they do look rather good in black don't they?

I've been in Australia for the last month and although the ES is supposed to be fairly popular here, l have yet to see one, plenty of RX's though.

I've now been in OZ for 6 weeks and despite looking at every car, this is the nearest l've seen to an ES Hybrid. Sorry for the bad picture it's a rather old ES 300.
