I used the Lexus uk contact us from the website. My point was that it was not covered in both warranties present for the vehicle. Ownership of previous Lexus vehicles with no history of bushing deterioration. Questioned whether the composition of the rubber had been changed on the 2019 model.

I checked mine and found that the rubber looked in new condition however the rubber had delaminated from the internal steel casing casing wear. The measurement in the tyre tread depth indicated movement. In my opinion it appears to be a faulty batch, not up to Lexus usual standard.

Last year on my service the bushes on my car were also diagnosed as faulty and causing wear on the inside of the rear tyres but was classed as advisory. I raised concerns on this and it was all played down. I have had many company cars of different makes and far higher mileage (38000 last year) and never had this issue. Just had a service this year and it failed its MOT on this issue with a cost of £1212. As we are going away next week I had to take the hit and get it repaired quickly, fortunately garage were able to complete next day. Both tyres at the back now need replacing. Very disappointed at how this was played down especially with the lack of concern about this issue especially as was so happy with Lexus. interesting the different quotes for this job from the various garages.
Also the fact that we now have to pay for curtesy car.

Has anyone had a problem with these. Last service shows they are becoming 'debonded' which in layman's terms means the rubber is perished. Lexus are quoting £662 to replacement which seems excess for 2 rubber joints. Car is 4 years old with 32k miles.

Should this be covered by warranty?

KEVIN.. Had My car Serviced Yesterday And was told exactly The same  ( Even showed me a Video ) Trailing Arm Rubber Bushes Worn and Needs Replaced..Quoted me £534.26..+ 2 New Front Tyres (advisory only And they never mentioned the Tyres at its Recent M.O.T ( July )  2 New Tyres Cost £359.18 Toe in offside Rear ( Slightly Out ) Total bill came to £1006.47 But Must say Service and Attention was Excellent from the Garage...Does this match YOUR experience..? Ron ps Never authorised Any of it.. £580 full service ...

Irony is, that I've just had to have them replaced as well, £920... not covered by Relax. 42000 miles, 2019 NX. Wondering if this problem is exacerbated by living near the sea because my wife's Mazda's 2017 subframe is looking well corroded...

IMHO Steve Its Down Mostly To Those Bloody Speed Bumps on the Road Where i Live i Have So many Of Them Its like Being in ALTON TOWERS....!!!!!

I find it quite incredulous that your NX300s have this seemingly clearly BAD issue from new ........  it's a big black mark against your Lexus model range for sure 🤢

Might it just be the Main Dealers are getting their MOT Testers and service people to overly notice these as failures or potential failures I wonder

Could you take your cars to independent MOT Testers who might not see this problem in the same light .......  or at all !

Good luck

My rear trailing arm bushes need replacing too. My NX300 is 8 years old with 99,000 miles. I noticed something wasn't right and when it went in for the Battery warranty check, Lexus Ipswich confirmed it. It's clear on the video. They quoted £1081 and my local non-franchised repairer £924 to replace the arms.
My question is: can the bushes be replaced without the trailing arms? A grand to replace 2 bits of rubber seems an awful lot.

Well my thoughts are that you're one of the unfortunate ones mate ☹️ I'm sorry I don't have any positive words to cheer you up at all... Interesting that the prices seem different in every dealership!

Hello guys. Can somebody post a photo here of the problem?

I don't really understand what the problem is, and what kind ob bushing you are talking about.

It's a little bit because I'm not a native speaker. Sorry for that!

Thank you for the quick response! Now I know what's been talking about.

I have to check that on my 2018 NX.
