Interested to know if anyone else has experienced this or if it's just my car, but I've noticed that if I depress the brake pedal lightly (2-3cm), my brake light doesn't come on.

For example I can coast downhill with my foot lightly on the brake, but with no brake light. Under normal braking it illuminates fine and it's not a danger, but seems like something I should fix regardless. Does anyone know of a way to adjust the sensitivity of the brake pedal switch to make the light come on sooner?

(PS. My brakes work fine, it's just the sensitivity of the brake light).

Bittersweet update - That link above is the correct solution  however it's impossible to reach without removing the knee airbag and a lot of dash trim ☑️

I am not sure the problem is a problem.

When applying little pressure on the brake pedal so the charging of the hybrid Battery process starts is similar to letting go of the accelerator pedal on most combustion engine cars and not like braking.

On the CT we have, as long as the car is not really braking, the brake light is not on, but when pressing the pedal a little more (not much) and the car is slowing down, the brake light come on, like I think it should.

Driving a hybrid is different to driving a combustion engine car and very much so if the combustion engine car has a big cubic engine, especially with manual gearbox.

Fully agree, seems normal to me as well.

Thank you, well that's a relief at least. My main concern is that while I have my foot lightly on the brake, it might be flickering the brake light to the driver behind if my foot hovers at the level between on/off. I'd rather it just came on every time my foot is on the brake so that it's definitely ON or OFF.
