good luck with that one :whistling:............... our cars are just so stupidly electronically advanced ( even mine at 27 yrs old in some respects ) and these sodding wires and connections just simply degenerate with age and weather and all sorts of impacts 

I'm concluding that if one's going to have an older car then it needs to be pre-electronic gadgetry ..  summat from the 1970's maybe ......  now fancy a Mk3 Cortina estate 2.3 VX or whatever might be still around that rust hasn't terminated
