Cleaning day!

I gave my car a full wax today with Collinite hard wax and it sure was a workout in the heat. I know many consider it a bit old fashioned but I really rate it and have used it for many many years!

At the same time I cleaned the partial paint on the chrome centre caps off and I reckon they look alot better now!

I have noticed that in numerous places the paint has chipped of the wheel trims also and I have considered stripping them too as I believe they are also chromed.

A friend advised against it, believing it isn't as popular to have them chrome. What do you guys think?

I used to use Colinite, it’s a nice wax.

I’m in a minority, I love the American chrome bling wheels.

I’ve always liked chrome or polished alloy on a car.

I always used Collinite 915 on my Mercs but now use Meg's Ultimate Liquid wax simply because it has been designed to be applied in full sun. Lasts well, not as long as the 915 but good enough and so easy to work.

Hi Peter

Looking at the shine on the paintwork of your car it appears that Meguiar's is doing you proud!

There again, at least there are a few of us on here who still use Collinite which means I don't feel so old fashioned now!

Thanks guys 👍
