Hello new UX owner of a month now.

I have been very please so far, coming from a larger Mercedes ML that used to pull a caravan. Caravan sold, so no need for a larger vehicle, and now only me a mini dachshund.

Originally was looking at the new NX, and went for a test drive one, but before I did, I tried the UX, which I'd never thought of. And to my surprise I was impressed.

So much that, I ended up with one. Mostly driving work wise is local distance once I'm at work and 20 miles each way to work and back.

I had decided having been to Japan, that a Lexus was going to be my next car. Seeing the way of the Japanese doing things, I couldn't go wrong, my experience of them is spot on.

To me Mercedes have become a posh Ford Company that spread itself in all directions of vehicles and lost its direction and quality in the process.

I ended up with the 250h takumi, perfecr colour for me at work, as it doesn't stand out, blends in.    Once retired it will be metallic blue next lol.

I would of liked the new UX dash board for the 2023 model like the NX dash board, but being left handed it does make that much difference to me, I don't think I would like it, if a was right handed with the current version.

I'm interested in the mileage, I filling up the tank each time and seem to be getting between 57-60 mpg on each tank full. If I'm correct. Better than 35 mpg on the Mercedes ML.

Always driven in the ECO mode, and use the eco dial to keep in the eco range, seems to work well for me so far. I guess it will go down in the winter.

Hello Andrew,

Many thanks for your message and the photos, your car looks great.

'My' (company car) Uxe is the same colour as yours but doesn't have the body coloured wheel arches which look good. The fuel economy is very impressive too.

I guess you may have a black interior- I was a little concerned about it being too dark but have got used to it and open the sunroof blind if needed.

Best wishes,

Chris

Hi Andrew, just waiting for my my UX Takumi, ordered in January, now arrived at dealers so hoping to pick it up next week. Is yours Sonic Titanium? it looks stunning, that's what I have ordered with White Ash upholstery.

Happy Lexus motoring, my first Lexus as well.

Sorry for late reply, was busy toward end of last week as  now have this week off.  Looks like I've timed it well weather wise, but usually  this week is good weather, my birthday week lol.

"royoftherovers" thank you for the positive welcome, I will try and add to the forum where I can in the future

"Chris UXe"  I too was worried about the dark interior, that's why I had to have the sunroof, I always leave my sunroof blind open, whatever the weather. Don't like dark position when closed.  I'm very pleased with the fuel economy, I'm not a fast driver so going in eco mode all the time doesn't bother me.  Still getting around 60 mile to the gallon at present. Happy with that.

"Bill Dawes" Good news for you then, don't forget the pictures too. I love technology, and this car is full of it. Glad I'm glad I bought the Takumi as it has all the toys to play with   😀.   Mine has the black interior, while I'm still working and having a little dachshund that comes to work with me even tho he is in traveling holder it was more suitable for me.

"ALAW" Thank you for the welcome. I saw the car on the Lexus website no photos, just placed on there, I was the first person to enquire about it, I thought the colour was going to be silver, it was Sonic Grey, I'm sure the advert said Sonic Titanium at the time. Anyway I got to Sheffield Lexus and it was Sonic Grey, I call this colour  gun metal in my head. It has been a demonstrator I think, only done 3,500 miles, was registered on the Lexus app to a female employee, which they said it was.  Took the test drive and bought it. I had the extra chrome side sills, front and rear chrome attachments fitted, which made the car look more distinctive. Every other car I enquired about on the Lexus website were sold straight away, unless the colour was not popular or unusual interior colours

Many thanks for the replies, happy motoring

Andrew

My baby version came this week, like to get 1:18 scale versions of the cars I've bought.
