Hi I need some thoughts.

I am still looking for an RX F Sport Tak and locating the specific version I want is near on impossible at the moment.

There are some prem sport options about but they lose 2 things I want.  The 360 camera and AVS (and front and rear performance dampners).

OK the 360 cam I could live without but on my NX, I have the AVS and Sport + mode and I use it quite a bit on country roads and motorways.  It makes the throttle more responsive and the car feel stiffer with less body roll.

However I have no idea if this is such a big issue on the RX.  I note that on the RX there is also a custom mode but not sure how effective this is.

Some questions I have are:

- Are the performance dampeners much different to not having them?

- How does sport mode compare to sport + on the RX?

- Does the AVS make a noticeable difference?

The other difference on the car besides cosmetic is that the Prem Sport has auto high beams and the F Sport has the blade scan high beams which I have no idea if they are worth it or just another gimmick.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I currently have a 2018 RX F Sport fitted with the premier pack which I believe was the former name for Takumi.

I have an NX F Sport 450h on order (RX being P/x’d) and the 2 items that were 100% a must have on the NX for me were 360deg cameras and AVS, hence ordering the F Sport and not Takumi which doesn’t have AVS on the current NX, so that should tell you all you need to know.

I wouldn’t be happy without AVS or the ability to switch to Sport+ when needed which also tightens up the steering s well as throttle response & suspension. I also find that the car is much less fidgety on country roads with AVS since I can set a custom mode which just stiffens the suspension.

I'd suggest keep looking they do come up reasonably frequently depending on colour options etc as I was on a similar search not too long ago.

Also they are often just listed as F Sport and you need to check the spec carefully as they may not list all the options. I also have the Premier pack which is the predecessor to the Takumi pack, mine was just listed as a stock F Sport but I could tell from the pictures it was a Premier pack, look for the Mark Levinson logo on the stereo on interior shots.
