Lexus Warranty AC pipe

Hi all!

Had the RCF serviced yesterday and one of the items noticed during the inspection was a weeping AC pipe. 

It's not impacting on the AC as it's still cold but thy quoted £540 to fix. I asked about warranty, as I don't see a leaking AC pipe on a 7 year old car as 'wear and tare', but was told by the sales person it would not be covered. 

I will ring Lexus Relax and check, but wandering if anyone else had experience with this?

Seems that the reputation Lexus used to have is crumbling. You are right. AC system should be able to function without problems a lot more than 7 years.
