It appears that my sat nav screen has given up the ghost on part of it, is there any remedy or is it a replacement required? Any walk through guides or things to be wary of? Do they need to be reprogrammed , could I upgrade to an android/carplay one at what cost please. Any help would be nice as I cannot even switch the screen off due to not being able to access the settings. Thank you in advance.   Also , how can I find the Horsepower of my car as there are two different replacements it appears?

Hi Steve,

if you want all to be able to see your pictures, insert them in .jpg or .png format.

Can be read from any computer, not only Apple/MAC.

Yes looks like a typical LCD screen failure, so replacement is the obvious option.

Do you have Relax cover, I don't believe the infotainment system is covered unless it is also required to select critical vehicle functions, but worth checking with your dealer.

If that was a computer monitor I'd suspect a bad video cable connection or bad cable.

Before spending any money, take the head unit out and also expose the connectors at the back of the screen and check that the connections are secure. If they are, next thing is to check the video cable itself, which you can do by unplugging each end and testing the continuity of each conductor in turn.

Most multimeters will have an audible continuity testing facility, so turn that on and touch the probes together. If it's working as normal you'll hear a tone. Now put one probe on one pin of the cable at the head unit end and use the other probe to touch each pin of the plug at the screen end where, hopefully, you'll hear a tone on one of them, proving that that conductor is good. If any fail to produce a tone then you need a new cable.

What Herbs said ^^

Looks like a cable/ribbon fail rather than an LCD fail

No, there is no Relax cover as that appears to be a new thing, but possibly as others have stated it might be the cable which I will try first.

Thank you, assuming it is the screen, it appears that a replacement on eBay I need to know the HP of my car, but My V5 shows nothing, how can I find out the HP to find if it is 99hp or the 134 hp model please?
