Possible Problems For Modded Is200's

I just spoke to my friend who's a Lexus mechanic and he told me about a customer who had heavily modded his IS200 which included a supercharger.

This particular customer had problems with the propshaft, differential and rear breaks due to the amount of power he was delivering to the rear wheels.

Has anyone experienced or heard of such a problem?

Not heard about this, but I know that DaveEllen is having some rod work done to his engine or something to handle the extra power (but that's way beyond just the S/C)?

And as for the brakes I think ours are the same as those on the GS300 which has more power anyway (and also more weight?)

You've got me worried now :crying:

It should be okay as I'm assuming that 90% of the S/C owners are here anyway and haven't heard anything major problem wise.

I'm just getting excited at getting everything fitted and then shocking people who think they can do the Lex - I've had enough of Focus's & Mondeo's racing me - time to show them who's the daddy :winky:

i beleive dark is has been running his heavily modded 270bhp IS for well over a year with none of the problems mentioned

the supercharger is also a dealer option in euroland, its only lexus GB who wernt willing to put the car into production, due to costs involved in testing for: as such a new car, they did test them for themselves though :whistling:

how would it effect the rear brakes anyway, surely the front do more work and are just as susseptable as the rears
