I got a PCN today alleging that I infringed a bus lane in a part of London that I never visit on a day I didn't leave home.

Possible plate cloning comes to mind although who would clone the plates of an ISF as there are only a couple of hundred in the country.

So, if any one tries to sell anyone a blue ISF registration RV61OAH be careful. Mines not for sale.

Surely it gives photo evidence? If not then you obviously have the right to request it be provided, especially considering your concerns. Could be a blue Lexus sporting the plate, rather than an IS F, not like they are very diligent before issuing the notice...

Sorry that it has happened to you either way though.

All you can be certain about the photo evidence is that the car is a dark colored saloon. You couldn't even be sure it was a Lexus.

I'm not particularly worried about the PCN. ****** off yes but not worried. I'm only posting here in case someone is trying something dodgy.

Short answer, nope.

I had to check with Mr. Google as I live in Ilford and the A12/A127 is the start of most drives.

You can just contest it I suppose. Not really much you can do about cloned plates in all honesty

Maybe the number plate was misread by ANPR, no IT system is perfect.
