I’ve noticed the window trim on my car is degraded and peeling off. It’s the one messy part of another wise very nice car.

How would I go about fixing or replacing this?

Thanks!

Usually people do a chrome delete by trimming it all off and then wrapping it in black vinyl. I started cutting mine off as it's in a similar state and will probably wrap it as well. Or you could use plasti-dip but not sure how good that will look as it usually has a grainy finish

Replacing the trims is expensive from what I know and you'll need to take the door card to unclip it.

they don't use real chrome is the reason I'm guessing

My Ls400 is fine .........  but it's very old and built of sterner stuff methinks  BUT my 2006 Honda Legend is squeaky flakey chrome like yours ......  it's rubbish tbh ......  the car's so old now with other " blemishes " so it's liveable with

That’s not the chrome flaking it’s a black strip of wrap around the chrome!

Could still be plastic though I’m not sure

Just cut the rubber off. The chrome underneath I'd say is rather good quality as it's like new on my 14 year old is250.
