I’m 70, full NCD, 4k per year and car garaged.  I have a 2022 ES with P/P.  Thought I’d ring Lexus insurance for a quote, what a shock I got when they quoted £800+. Settled for Aviva, same cover, full comp, protected NCD and legal cover etc £391.
I understand that Lexus insurance is underwritten by Prudential. Have any other members had a similar experience?

I had a quote for a 2019 ES300h F Sport with Takumi Pack from Lexus Insurance, 4 years NCD, they obviously didn’t want the business with a quote for nine grand a year - yes that’s right - £9k!!!

I insure through Sainsburys bank currently - £840 a year for 15k mile coverage, 5 years NCD, not garaged.

I like this insurer because I dictate where the car goes for repair I.e. a Lexus body shop for paint or Lexus repair centre rather than the insurers approve outlets. Been with them since 2016 from the IS300h through the 2019 ES300h and currently with the 2021 ES300h.

I switched to Lexus Insurance when I recently purchased my 2022 NX. I didn't expect to go with them when I submitted my details for a quote but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it pretty much matched the quote provided by my insurer at the time plus others that I had researched via the "comparison" websites. So I took the plunge.

As has been said before on this forum - the true value of an insurer is only really discovered if/when you need them following an accident or theft and how well they deal with it for you. I'm hoping that having the Lexus brand behind them, Lexus Insurance will not let me down in that respect. Also I can rest assured that all repairs will be carried out by Lexus workshops (using genuine Lexus parts) without any quibble. Well that's my thinking anyway 🙏

yes for sure and great care should be taken over all this too ...........

I won't bore you all again with my experiences of two well known insurers ......  one outstandingly GOOD and the other, well, the opposite

neither of which have been mentioned on this Subject Post specifically
