Welcome Andy.

Why are you changing from a BMW to Lexus?

Welcome and enjoy the car I love mine and happy to move from a Lexus IS220d.

what’s the tax on yours as mine has just gone up to £155! Still cheaper than the IS.

just fancied something different love the look of the car, still like bmws, the only thing I need to address is when you come to a stop its a bit creaky, reckon something might need oiling. and free road tax ant be bad

Keep searching Andy. You might find more interesting things in the car.

We had our little car a long time now and found out that Lexus here does not clean the air filter for the hybrid Battery when servicing it. Right side of rear seat. Easy to take out and clean, but it must be done. Also make sure air intake is not covered. Another thing they do not change when servicing is cabin filter in glove box.

I find it a stupid place. Inside the cabin where passengers with coats, children with toys could block it is not the smartest place for air intake.

You're dead right there. It's in the same position in my RC. With a child seat installed, it's a very snuggly place for a teddy bear 🐻....

yes I was surprised it just didn't have one on the outside, luckily I rarely have anyone in the back

I have one in the back almost constant. First a full-size seat:

Now only a little seat with a hook to keep the seat belt on shoulder and not around the neck.

Interesting read - I've had our lovely CT200H since October 2019 and have never noticed this vent myself.  It has been serviced by Lexus since new.

Thought I would look at the filter yesterday- lifted the cover off, and there is no filter inside at all!

Given that the rear offside passenger door is closed most of the time, I wouldn't think much air travels through that vent in any direction - or am I missing something?

With all the dust on the filter in our car (I cleaned it just after a 60000km service having read about it here in the forum) I think it should be there; or the dust will continue it's way to the hybrid Battery.

going to have look at mine now, think the same unless your window is down not much air in the cabin strange
