Revised Lexus UK Website

The website seems to have been changed (notice I don't say improved). Looking at My Lexus, there is a revised format for the order status - although my order still seems to be in the black hole of 'order being processed'.

The New Car layout has also changed There are no quick links to order a brochure, althogh when you do eventually find a link to order a ES Brochure, it's now a 4 page leaflet listing the prices. The option to Explore ES, which previously showed a video of the car, now just seems to give details of 3 features.

Lexus seem to be going 'informationless', rather than 'paperless'.

This was commented on the other day about the UX.

Seems Lexus are going for a single document rather than both price list and brochure. What you end up with is a dumbed down brochure or an extended price list depending on your point of view.

I wouldn't call a 4 page price list 'extended'. It used to be a lot more comprehensive when it showed standard and optional availability across the models.

I have just noticed this on their latest website update regarding orders:

Important Notice: Pricing and specifications shown are for model year 2022 UK vehicles, and subject to vehicle production lead times, the model ordered may be built according to model year 2023 specification, that may result in a different price. It is anticipated that your Lexus Centre will advise you of the exact On The Road price once your ordered vehicle goes into production (at the latest), at which point you have the right to accept such changes, or cancel your order and have any deposit returned to you.

Previously mentioned the fact that when I approached Lexus Uk as to why the ES brochure didn't exist yet the PR dept created one from all their generic ES material incl photos, trim levels, specifications  etc and printed it and sent it to me as a ring binder document set.  Not really sure why the PR dept felt they need to but it was a nice gesture at the time.
