Interesting! I’ve not seen the Bolton car in person but their valuation seems to be based solely on mileage (I think it was 80 something thousand miles). The price is definitely on the high side! There’s also a very clean looking green pre-facelift LS430 in Bedford that I wanted to see, but luckily I have already found my car by then 🙂

Yeh also not a single receipt for anything at Bolton, with the dealer claiming they didn't get passed on for data protection, despite the customer details being on the v5, and their sc430 having lots of receipts, exactly right about being priced on mileage alone, the car is reasonably tidy, but no signs of maintenance

Almost feels like an easy excuse! Since cars can’t talk, service history is just about the only way you can tell how good of a life a car has lived! This Bolton car definitely sounds like the one avoid, although it does look good on pictures 🙂

My 2003 had 7k when I bought it in 2004. Did 220k in nine years and your list of potential faults is pretty good.

Swopped radiator, steering column tilt motor, several air suspension sensors. Several parking sensors. Gearbox and fuel pump recalls in first year.

Never let me down, superb car, especially at lots of mph on the motorways in Germany. Replaced my LS400.
