Knock when braking

Hi!

My IS200 was standing in garage for 2 months and when I took it for a ride the brake light appeared on the dash and rear right brake started knocking when braking. What could be the problem?

Firstly did you leave the parking brake on while it was stood and secondly check the calliper slide pins for free movement as they may have seized.

Car was only in gear and parking brake was not applied. I will check the calliper pin and reach back to you

on a lighter mode ..........  if a brake lamp has blown that might also show as a red warning on the dash too ...... just an irrelevance maybe to the main event !
